Bethania Moravian Church is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the mission and ministry of the church by participating in a wide array of administrative and clerical duties, including but not limited to: assisting with church promotion, public relations, and communication; assisting with printed and media worship preparation; assisting with the financial management of the congregation; and performing other administrative tasks as assigned by the pastor to support the work of the congregation.
Requirements for the position include: professional, courteous, and respectful; strong written and verbal communication; active listening and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; strong computer skills; basic accounting skills. Prior experience working as a church Administrative Assistant is preferred.
The position is part-time, 24 hours per week. The current office hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The start date for the position is May 23, 2022.
Located in the historic town of Bethania, just outside of Winston-Salem, Bethania Moravian is part of the Southern Province of the Moravian Church. The congregation was founded in 1759 and is one of the oldest churches in North Carolina. The congregation holds to the motto of the Moravian Church “In essentials, unity; in nonessentials, liberty; in all things, love.”
